Devoted Spouse: Whaddya wanna watch on tv tonight?
Me: I dunno, I don’t care, whatever you want. There’s nothing good on.
Devoted Spouse: Why don’t we watch some of the shows we have DVR’d?
Me: Okey dokey… (pulls up DVR List) Hey! There’s an episode of Hawaii Five O we haven’t seen. Wanna watch that?
Devoted Spouse: Which one is it? (looks at “information block on DVR”) I don’t recognize this one, do you?
Me: (looking at information also) Nope, don’t remember it; we must have missed that one. WAIT! That’s the pilot – I KNOW we watched the pilot. But, I don’t remember this.
Devoted Spouse: I don’t remember it either; let’s just watch it.
Devoted Spouse: I DO remember this….but I don’t remember what happens. Hmmmm.
Me: HEY! I remember it too….but I’m not sure what happens. How does it end?
Devoted Spouse: I dunno.
This type of conversation continued throughout the program until about 3 minutes prior to the end of the show when we both finally remembered how it ended.
Devoted Spouse: I have a great idea.
Me: (waits to hear this amazing idea)
Devoted Spouse: Let’s just DVR one show from now on and keep it forever.
Devoted Spouse: (looks at me with big grin on his face) Obviously we don’t remember them, so when we go back to watch, we will constantly be surprised. See? We only need to DVR one show.
Moral of story….maybe aging isn’t all that bad. Being a little forgetful leads to fun surprises sometimes….like an episode of Hawaii Five O you can enjoy again…and again…and again…sigh..
For those of you who watch, love and enjoy NBC’s hit show “The Office,” Steve Carell announced several months ago that Season 7 (this season) will be the last for him. Now, this necessarily doesn’t mean that this season will be the final season. But, with one of the biggest names leaving the show, will it continue to succeed? My prediction is that the show will last for one…maybe two extra seasons.
E-Online reports this will be the actors last season. You can read this article here:
Why do stars tend to leave these hit shows? I know they don’t want to be tied down to a series that is running out of ideas. But, from my perspective…once a show establishes characters can’t the show go on for 10-11 seasons? Friends did it! It will be sad to see Michael Scott leave the show, but I’m a Steve Carell fan. So, I wish him the best!!!
Here are some funny Michael Scott moments from the show!

South Park is the most controversial show in recent memory. Now the show is returning for an EPIC 15h Season! The show normally follows current events and mocks them in some way. Most notably last year was the Tiger Woods scandal. The show has won several critically acclaimed awards including Best TV Series. The show has a loyal fan base and many expect it to continue that way.
The show has such an array of characters and you have to low each and every one of them. That is if you’re a fan of the show! The best character on the show has to be Stan’s Dad, Randy Marsh. Randy is the parent who tries to fit in with the children while making obscene examples of what he thinks is ‘good’ parenting.
For those of you mature enough to enjoy a GREAT show. I recomend you start watching on the 6th!
Tomorrow is the Premiere for one of TV’s most anticipated TV Show’s – Dexter. Before I start my post, I’m going to try and avoid any spoilers. With last season coming to a ‘shocking’ end, everyone is wondering what will happen during this season of Dexter. That includes myself! Tomorrow’s premiere will begin at 9 pm (Eastern) and should answer many questions that die hard fans have.
For those of you who haven’t seen the trailer for Season 5 which was shown at Comic Con, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUbCMbW-BRE – WARNING: DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE END OF SEASON 4!!!
This was shown at Comic Con and since the showing of the video, many people are wondering what angle the writers are going to take this season.
Hears what I can tell you. This season will not feature a predominate antagonist. In other words, we will not see a villain like Trinity (John Lithgow) like last season. There will be a villain, but that will not be the main focus. So, from my perspective, I feel as if this season will focus on Dexter and his relationship to other people.
What do you think?
